ARCH1101 - EXP3

Final Submission

Oprah & Lady Gaga

Oprah and Lady Gaga are both people who have both become very powerful and influencial people over the years. The main theme of this experiment is demonstrating how all the connection they have worked hard to make over their lives have aided in their status today.

The meeting space is a large open area with their respective elevators on each side.

The hexagon shape is the main shape used as it is both bold and also connects well to create an interesting link and studio. The color red also represents power through its dominance in the surrounding landscape.

Meant to be hidden in the ground so you only see the top layer and when it starts moving you're surrounded by the rest, might add some sort of railing around to prevent from falling...

No matter what put the user first. The consumer is not a penny-pinching moron nor a brute philistine.
There's no greater single guarantee of success than getting yourself booked on the Oprah Winfrey Show her personal brand has made a mark'effort and care beyond the usual'
But more importantly, the response from consumers, clients and the media will create the longevity needed to keep a brand booming It's a continuum
The foundation of her stardom is the power Oprah's promotional power is not just about him but his team
Oprah's power to persuade extends to a multitude, of products and services successful brand can feed on it’s own self generated public relations and marketing to a degree, but is willing to take a buffeting
It is passion and purpose that allows her to sustain popularity But I’m constantly haunted by thoughts of, is it good enough? Is there any way we could have made it better?

These three different articles from the three different clients, all mashed up together convey to me how each of the three are all very hard working and put a lot of effort into thinking about the consumer and audience they are targeting.
They have made many connections to with the consumer and audience to get to where they are today. In my designs I aim to show through all the connection they have strived to make represent their power as indiviuals.

ARCH1101 - EXP2

Week 3
This week we drew another 36 custom textures from except this time it was in sets of 6 from light to dark. We also had to create some smaller elements to support the Electroliquid Aggregation of the two clients. Having done this I used a light, medium and dark texture on different parts of the project to highlight certain aspecs and played around with lighting in Crysis.

Electroliquid Aggregation
"The negative can easily spread and consume its surroundings but can always be stopped through positive intentions."

This view shows how the invisible prisms "the negative" starts to eat at the main structure.

The individual elements at the side of the structure reinforce how the negative can be stopped and reconstructed to be positive(ie the red blocks)

This final image capture the balance of the negative and positive elements.

Week 2
In studio this week we took the six different axionometrics and combined them into three different pairs. It was really tricky to get this right and for some of the drawings I had to have a couple of goes before getting it right.

I chose to develop the last set of axios into SketchUp and then into Crysis. The Crysis landscape is meant to be modeled so as the two clients have a meeting place. Below I have tried to do this but still need to make it easier to access when the avatar is actually in the game.

As the two clients now have a combined project the initial hypothese needs to be revised to reflect both clients. Below is the "Electroliquid Aggregation" ie new hypothesis of the two clients Newton and Freud.

Newton: Newton never married becuase he loved science too much.
Freud: Freud's discover that negative can be repressed has made them harder to repress

Week 1
This week in studio we have three new clients; Isaac Newton, Marie Agnesi and Sigmund Freud. With these three influencial clients, we came up with two hypothesis about each descibing their lives/ideas. Once we had these we experimented with axonometric drawings using 5 rectangular prisms to describe each hypothesis.

Crysis Models

Getting Crysis to work on my computer was a bit of an ordeal but after reinstalling it a couple of times we eventually got there. It's fun to play around in the sandbox editor but often it was a bit frustrating trying to get things in specific spots or get the ladscape to do what I wanted. Hopefully with more practise it will get better...
